Last night I’ve been helping my good friend Speeder with mechanical repairs of a bunch of electrical appliances we got from charity. There was a pretty stereo receiver coming directly from the US (Denon) that needed a good repair, and WOW if it works now! It’s a charm. We also repaired a pretty DVD player with a USB plug, and a couple of old laptops. 256MB of RAM - not a lot, but not bad anyway.

This is the stereo receiver model we worked on - isn't it a charm?

I told Titania and we're thinking about getting it home. :) We're probably going to purchase brand new items directly from Denon too. I think we fell in love with the company's philosophy: attention to detail and innovation. Plus, a fabulous client support. Much better than our local Expert store. They put a passion in their product that you can feel on your skin, when you touch a stereo or a DVD player. They truly love their job. :)

So, Titania likes the AVR-5308CI model. I'm in love with it. I showed it to my kids and they said it's gonna be fun to use. Everybody's saying 'yes' so I'll be saving up to purchase one - for Christmas, I hope.

Tonight I'm going to help Speeder again. With repairs. Perhaps we find some other gem to fix, don't you think? ;)

Nursery school for Shakila

I told my wife that Shakila shouldn't be attending nursery school here in Robocity, but she heard no reasons. "She's like the other kids here," she remarked, "no need to have her in a human nursery just because someone wants us to!".

Oh, I wish she would see my point... I only hope the adoption agency we had our daughter from won't be putting us under more stress for this thing, too. They were nice to us upon adoption practices opening, nice and available, but of course they've never trusted us one hundrend percent: we were subject to endless tests and check-ups in order to be listed as ideal potential adopting parents. Because we're robots and kids (like our daughter) were humans.

I'm sure that Shakila won't have issues in relating to robot kids, especially since her parents and siblings are all robots. And regarding Titania, all I can do now is (try to) persuade her to ask the agency what they think about it; to avoid trouble.

Well--- time to cook dinner. My turn tonight. :)
I'll be around.

Medical uniforms in Robocity

Looks like everybody in town is mentioning how cute and funny http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/'s uniforms are, pondering impossible reasons for our chief medic to have bought them there, why so colorful, etc.

Is Robocity turning into a HUGE gossip town? Wow, I wouldn't think to live in Hollywood! :)

Jokes apart, I have to admit I really liked the mens scrub uniforms dr. Firebot purchased. They suit Firebot and his medical assistants pretty well, despite the robotic body structure.

I was delighted to see little Ratchet wearing that uniform even too big for his 8-year-old body. His father says Ratchy's got the heart of a real medical assistant, and he's prospecting a good future for him as a medic.

That made me smile. There is nothing making me happier than a loving father's words —I'm father, afte rall— and his wish to see his children's dreams come true. I do to my kids too; they're all so young —even Galt and Turboroad are only 8— and all they want is having play and cuddle time through the day, but I know they're going to develop their own personality in the years coming. Develop interests, hobbies —eventually dreams.

Ratchet is a precocious kid. Mine are, but not that much. Honestly, I'm glad for that; I want them to live their infancy and pre-teen years to the fullest.

Shakila turns 2

It's been a few days.

Not because of laziness, but because of work and family duties, as usual. Also, I had to do some Maintenance Software management at the Robocity Institutional Site (robocity.in) because a few databases seemed to be lost after a server downtime, whilst scripts installations showed... hidden.

Gladly, it was nothing serious, only the servers getting back up slowly.

Family-wise, last week we had a little party to celebrate Shakila's 2nd birthday. It was only the five of us -- me, Titania, Galt, Turboroad and Rokeu -- and Shakila of course. My wife cooked the party food and I baked a chocolate cake together with my twins; it was a wonderful experience and we had so much fun together. :)

You know, over-working sometimes can lead to missing important life and family experiences. I love my job, but sometimes, when I'm overwhelmed, I feel like I no longer have a life, dreams, reasons to smile. I try not to get in that mood, but it's hard to resist it when you are overdue all the time and stress starts kicking in.

Chamomile teas and tisanes... yeah, I should start making a bigger use of them.

Author: Jonathan SuarezWe had the hardest time choosing between cable companies when we moved but for me all that really mattered was we choose someone who carried the Food Network. I’m so obsessed with all the chefs on that channel and there’s one show I just can’t get enough of: Cupcake Wars. I know the cupcake fad is nearly over but I just think it’s so interesting the way they combine flavors on there to make a real work of art in a tiny cake! I like another show, Chopped, for similar reasons but that one’s more because I like to cook and I feel like I learn a lot every time I watch. I don’t know what I would do if someone told me to cook something with pork, blue cheese, mango, and cinnamon but that’s the kind of thing they’re presented with! I have real admiration for chefs who can make something out of nothing like they’re able to do and I can’t get enough of that show.

Damned mesh

My wife had a ginecological visit last week and we discovered she could suffer from a pelvic organ prolapse. We talked dr. Firebot together, and he offered us to implant a vaginal mesh to counterfeit the disease; he said it's very secure. But after seeing the whole bunch of vaginal mesh lawsuits I'm really scared for my wife's health: I only want the best for her, I can't accept to compromise her safety with a controversial and sometimes deleterious 'cure'.

Some of the proven side effects of vagina mesh include urinary issues, mesh erosion into the vagina, pain during intercourse and perforations within the bladder, bowel and blood vessels. Not mentioning the infection. I can't allow for that.

Titania is having a second talk to Firebot soon. Perhaps he doesn't know about the lawsuit; he's a good guy, he'd never hurt us. However, he'd better know about this.

There is nothing much to say, apart from the over-tiredness I’ve come to experience. I have worked full-time for three days already, going to sleep at 1AM, and trust me, it IS truly tiring. I have no clue of the secret force that keeps me running despite of exhaustion.

Perhaps it’s my kids, perhaps my wife, and my clients. However, I so desperately need to hit the sack and just sleep. I’m taking a day off tomorrow.

Year 2011 is here, and that means I haven’t update this blog in three months. That wasn’t nice, I know, but instead of apologizing, I’m going to list every thing that kept me busy over the last weeks:

- first thing, Titania and I have been granted adoption, which means Shakila is officially our daughter since December 5th. She’s a great joy to us, and to her siblings. We hope she will get over her past traumas soon, with the help of our love, and that she will feel more integrated within the family;
- the Robocity Leaders have recently decreed a reform of all our schooling systems, which means us teachers had to reunite and re-organize our roles. I will be still running the Writing seminaries, but official student curricula will undergo a massive update; please, read about the Reform on the Robocity official site if you need to learn more;
- because of our recent adoption, one of my kids went through a jealousy crisis, and I had to spend a good deal of time with him, to help him get over the negative feeling. Of course, his jealousy will take more time to become completely inoffensive, but at least he’s not hurting himself and his siblings anymore.

This month I have to buy two new tail lights for myself, as I underwent an accident last week. Nothing too serious, but I don’t like broken lights. I have some cash saved up for emergencies, thus the purchase won’t be excessively expensive on the family budget.

Again, happy 2011, and a wonderful year start for each and every of you, dear readers. :)

Happy upcoming holidays to everyone.

Waiting to be chosen to adopt Shakila

So, two months away from my last entry by now. Our honeymoon to Maldive was the best moment in our life as a couple, and Titania was beautiful in the photos we took together. :) I hope I’ll get a chance to post one or two of these pictures. Also, our kids (Galt and Turboroad) seemed to be bonding more in depth with their little brother Rokeu, and YES, we got one more child-to-be: a little human girl named Shakila! :D Titania and I are in the waiting list for a month already, and we can’t wait to be chosen to adopt the little sweetheart. We’ll pray for that choice to happen. I feel Shakila as my daughter already.

Job-wise, this month I’ve been studying a sample research paper from CustomEssayPapers to get as much input as possible, because you know (at least some of you do) that the Leaders approved on my request to start a small paper writing business together with a few other Robocitans. Our honeymoon to Maldive was the best moment in our life as a couple, and Titania was beautiful in the photos we took together. I hope I’ll get a chance to post one or two of these pictures. Also, our kids (Galt and Turboroad) seemed to be bonding more in depth with their little brother Rokeu, and YES, we got one more child-to-be: a little human girl named Shakila! Titania and I are in the waiting list for a month already, and we can’t wait to be chosen to adopt the little sweetheart.

So you see, what better research paper writing help than checking out others’ work and learn from it? There’s daily inspiration to take in and make fructify in our minds. :)

Upcoming honeymoon

A week away from our honeymoon. Gosh, if I can't wait! I'm eager like a kid who's going out with his girlfriend for the first time. :D Titania and I have been waiting for this moment for weeks, after our wedding, and finally we get the chance. Where? Maldive islands, I think, or Madrid. I'm booking our flight this upcoming week, probably Monday or Tuesday.

Our older kids, Turboroad and Galt, said they're going to be good boys and help Speeder with taking care of everything, and especially of their younger brother Rokeu (read "roh-keew") - the little robot we adopted back on January - and hopefully we'll get an update from the adoption agency once we're back home from the honeymoon, because Titania and I are desperate about adopting a little human baby, be it a boy or a girl (I'd like a girl, to say the truth).

Anyway, a friend of mine needs a hand in choosing a San Diego movers company, so I'm off to phone him up, and for the rest of the day. 'Soon, guys.

I guess it’s time to append an announcement with “AAA looking for free auto insurance quotes” written in capital letters. I’m really tired with all the paid quotes companies want us to pay. Titania and I need to leave for our honeymoon soon, and we’ve got no time and no money to spend on these thieves. Both of us want to get our auto insurance quotes online to make it easier, but we need at least them to be free OR cheap enough not to influence our budget.
As for our honeymoon, we’re leaving on July 27th, and we’ll be off town for about ten days. I don’t know yet where we’ll go: I guess we’ll just drive outside the region and stop at places we like, stay in hotels, enjoy life. And then come back home after at least a week, but no more than ten days (or we’d spend too much money).

My friend Speeder said he would take care of the kids, and I’m thankful for that. They can be a handful sometimes, but they’re good kids. I will be waiting for stories on my return. :)

A body gospel to feel better

There is a weight-loss program that uses gospel music (the Body Gospel) to enhance a person’s motivation to loose weight and get fit, and Titania and I decided to buy Body Gospel to try out, and get our bodies more active (we don’t have to loose weight, but it would be beneficial to our health and heart rate) and to relieve most of the daily stress out. It’s all about Body Gospel workout, exercises aimed at improving metabolism functions and self-motivation. Titania learned about the Body Gospel program by reading reviews on health sites, and all Body Gospel reviews reported these benefits. It’s going to be fun. :)

If you like, you can read a Body Gospel review at gospelworkoutprogram.com to learn more about it. I honestly like the idea, and support it.

The wedding was a success. :D Titania and I sworn eternal love in front of a minister (our good ol’ Primus Loveheart) on June 29th of 2010, surrounded by our adopted children and the whole Robocity, including Leaders and Guardians. Aww it was amazing! But I guess my other blog is going to be a more proper place to talk about my marriage. :)
Anyway, now Titania and I need to get two types of insurance quotes: auto and home insurance. Hopefully we’ll be talking about cheap home insurance rates for free, and especially affordable car insurance quotes. I’d like not to pay for everything I request, seen the time of crisis and the expense for my upcoming honeymoon... ^^

I’ll share photos when I’m back home, of course. ;)
P.S. In a month of two of time, my wife and I will request to be put in the adoption list again… Hopefully they’ll accept us this time.

It’s a busy week so far, but I’m enjoying it to the fullest. :) Not just because the possibility to adopt a little human baby is coming to be more and more real—they only want me and Titania to get married asap, and of course we’re going to! Next month! :D We’re so excited about this that is wonderful and just too amazing for words. Our children are thrilled too. We hope they’ll give us a little girl, hehe. :)
I’m also continuing my 2-months seminary in Narrative Essay Writing, and currently keeping my students entertained with choosing their research paper format, and on how to handle the structure and be clean and ordered with their contents. They’re doing good anyways, they’re clever students.

Well, see you later. Need to be back to work now. ^^ Bye.

Looks like my last entry was lost with the server upgrade. Oh well. ^^ My news in that post, in short, were the following:

I was nominated a regular teacher in a new 2-months seminary about "How to write a narrative essay". I was really thrilled about it, and so far looks like my students are LOVING the course, and two of them are taking narrative essay writing very seriously for a possible job. We have external students too.
Titania and I might be adopting another child, but a human one this time. :D I'm truly excited! Can't wait for news about a possible placement. We'll see.

That's all. :) Will update here soon, guys. See you.

Luna Gracey’s laundry service in Robocity :)

We’re trying to improve our laundry service here in Robocity. :) Luna Gracey now leads the business, and she’s doing a wonderful job in improving the service efficiency and its environmental friendlyness. All of us Robocitans want the best for our home, even though improving our laundry service is just one little step to make it all Earth-friendly, by consuming less energy and increase efficiency. :) Luna has recently purchased a new prototype of laundry machine, that increases water efficiency and cleans the clothes and bed sheets more deeply, by spending less money on the system though, and consuming less. You know what? Titania and I are going to donate a certain amount next month to help buy another one of these machines. We all really need them.

A custom coursework service (project)

Here I am, updating my little blog once again as I work and read information online about custom coursework writing services. Truth is, I’m planning to setup one of my own, together with the other teachers of the Robocity schools, both citizens and external professors. We can do A LOT together for our students, and I would love to join forces for this purpose. :)
Our schools—all degrees—have been struggling to get government help in the last three years, and most work has been relying on us older citizens and teachers to make sure our students get the most benefits out of each course. I believe a custom coursework service would be a great help to get our students to understand how a GOOD essay is to be written; I don’t think it’s helpful—discouraging, indeed—nor education to leave students alone with their workload, often bigger than their current possibilities. They need good samples, and that’s what we’re going to provide.

I hope more teachers and Robocity citizens will join this project. :) We’ll see how it goes.

Thinking of another domain name

I’m seriously considering buying another domain name, aside from Motorola-7.info. I’m not sure yet whether the new domain should be related to a specific niche, or another personal blog (I’d rather not, since I’ve got two already), so I’m accepting suggestions from you guys. ^_^ Hope you come up with better ideas than mine, heheh. As for the domain name registration company, I’m thinking of CheapDomainSeller.com, because I’d rather not use Dynadot again. I find the panel kind of hard to use, so I prefer going with something simpler and cheaper. I know I know… I’m a lazy dude! :P
As I said, I’ll be working on fulmine.retromuse.com this week, and its new name is going to be Lightening Muse. I let your brain working out on the reason behind this name; and I’ll give you the solution next week. ;)
P.S. Thank you Leaders for the free cash to restructure the apartment! You rock!!!

Keeping ourselves updated on web hosting news

Although I feel Motorola-7.info to be in good hands with its current host, I regularly check the web for reviews of budget hosting providers that may one day replace this one, or welcome a new project of mine.
The fact is: the web is changing, Web 2.0 has been here for a few years now, and it surely influenced the ordinary hosting user (such like myself) and his/her experiences with web designing or blogging. So what I try to do is keeping myself updated with the latest trends, at least I make sure I don’t get lost. ^^
Today I found a new resource, and I wish to share it with you, my readers, in this post. The site name is Web Hosting Fan, a web hosting reviews site with news and useful insights from the SEO and web development world. It’s needless to say that the modern blogger or webmaster MUST keep him/herself updated with SEO techniques and web script upgrades, especially when he/she aims at monetizing the site or make it popular and easily searchable on search engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo) by ordinary Internet users. Now you can see how web hosting choices can heavily depend on these factors, so my suggestion is to read as many articles as possible—I’m doing it myself right now, as I write—and try out as many tips and tutorials as you manage. There’s never enough to stop learning. :)

P.S. I’ll focus my attention on my other website for a few days, so I won’t be updating here. Don’t worry though, I’ll get back to posting and tagging soon. ^^ Good ol’ Fulmine never forgets about his friends! He simply lacks the time to do stuff, but that’s just parental and husbandly life after all (LOL).
